    2. Our servers run IIS 5.0 Web server over Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
  2. What resources do I need to use RIATA's web hosting services?

  3. Does RIATA offer dial-up access to the Internet?

    4. No, you will need to contact your local Internet Service Provider (ISP) for local dial-up access to the Internet.

  4. Does RIATA support and offer Microsoft Access, ASP, and SQL?

    5. Yes. These features are specific to Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and are supported through our Windows 2000 web hosting options.
  5. What kind of connection does RIATA have to the Internet backbone?

    6. RIATA connects to the Internet backbone through multiple OC3 lines to GTE, Sprint, UUNet, and Chicago NAP. Our connection to the Internet backbone is the fastest and most reliable available.

  6. Does RIATA also design web pages?

    7. RIATA does offer web designing services and custom web application development.

  7. What is the typical RIATA server configuration?

    8. RIATA's minimum server configurations are Dual Intel Pentium II or Pentium III machines with Ultrawide SCSI HDD. Unlike many of our competitors who employ inexpensive IDE drives, our Ultrawide SCSI hard drives ensure superior server performance and reliability. 

  8. Does RIATA provide any database solutions?

    9. RIATA supports Access and MS SQL. MS SQL support is provided with our Platinum hosting package.
  9. What statistical package does RIATA offer?

    10. All RIATA plans include Wusage 6.0. Also, you have access to raw access logs and are free to use the statistical packages of your choice.

  10. What are referral logs? Does RIATA offer them?

    11. Referral logs tell you the web site from which visitors reached your page. Using this information, you can tune your online advertising to maximize traffic to your site. We provide this information in the form of domain names of the referring pages (not IP addresses), making it easier to interpret and analyse. RIATA offers referral logs as an option for $3/mo.
  11. Does RIATA offer chat rooms?

    12. Yes, we offer Volano Java Chat.
  12. Does RIATA support Microsoft FrontPage?

    13. RIATA will install the necessary extensions for you to use FrontPage and is happy to answer your questions related to the use of these extensions. FrontPage extensions are needed to enable you to publish your site with FrontPage, and to run the tools supported by FrontPage: WebBots, ToDo Lists and the FrontPage/Explorer interface.

    RIATA does not support problems and questions directly related to the use of FrontPage itself. Instead, we will direct you to Microsoft's FrontPage Technical Support. 

  13. What version of FrontPage does RIATA support?

    14. We support FrontPage 2002, 2000, 98 and 97.
  14. Does RIATA support third-level domains or subdomains?

    15. RIATA supports third level domain names with any of our web hosting packages, such as "name.yourdomain.com"; however we do not allow sub directory pointers, or subdomains.
